Graduation Day-yeay!

Hi guys! It's been a month since my last post. I didn't post anything- not because I'm busy, but because i'm lazy. Well, now I will try to post something as often as possible. Hopefully. Hahahaha.

A week ago, exactly on May 28th. Now I'm officially graduate from Pelita Harapan University. It was a struggle for me when I wrote my final papper. I can tell that it was a crazy and desperate moment for me. But it also fun! Weird huh? I know but I can't explain. Collage was great! I make a lot of new loveable friends and learn a lot of things. It's sad to say goodbye to them. But what can I do. Like they say every meeting must end with farewell.

Back to the topic, all the graduates look so pretty and handsome that day! The women (we are grown up so i called the women) wear Indonesian traditional dress : kebaya. It's not a must, you can also wear a gown or shirt, but all the graduates women mostly wear kebaya. As long as the graduation ceremony held, all the graduates must wear "toga". It's a little unique-the design of the "toga" but it makes you warm!

A picture is worth a thousands words

Couple days ago, I cleaned up my room and found some photos. There are photos from babyhood, childhood, elementary, junior, and high school, and also from my years at university! A lot of photos make me laugh and smile. A lot a memory are brought back to my brain. It's funny how a picture can tell a story. They don't speak any words but we can hear enough from them.

If you someday found a photos you will found may be the person in that picture still close with you, some go somewhere, some you don't know where are they now, some may be have passed away. You can see the expression of the people in that photos. You don't know are they still feel the same now. But i thing for sure. The memories. And the stories.

On 29th-31th March, me,my sister,and one my sister's friend went to Singapore. We were being kind of delivery service like TIKI. HAHA. But it was fun! We stayed at Marina Bay Sand Hotel then moved to Orchard Hotel.

We watche LionKing Broadway Musical.It was so magical and breathtaking.The customes are so W-O-W!

We also visited our cousins. She has been sick and stayed at Singapore for doing the medical teratment.

And beside that we also ate ate and ate. But we also walked walked and walked. And off course some weight lifted for shopping stuff and "titipan" stuff.HAHAHA.So we don't gain any weight ^^. At least me. I don't know about 2 other girls but i think they don't either.

Perfectly Imperfect

Kata peribahasa "Tak ada gading yang tak retak". Di dunia ini tidak ada yang sempurna. Bahkan orang yang kita kira sempurna sekali pun pasti memiliki cacat. Banyak orang yang ingin menjadi sempurna. Banyak orang yang ingin kehidupannya sempurna. Segala cara kita lakukan supaya semuanya SEMPURNA. Tapi, seberapa keras pun usaha kita, pasti ada aja yang kurang, ada aja yang gagal, ada aja yang salah. Kesempurnaan itu cuma milik Tuhan.

Stop usaha kalian buat menjadi sempurna. Kita hanya manusia yang memiliki banyak kekurangan. Hidup ini tidak sempurna dan tidak akan pernah menjadi sempurna, namun kita tetap harus memberikan yang terbaik dalam hidup.

We are perfectly imperfect. Ingat selalu bersyukur sama Tuhan apapun keadaan kita. Bersyukur sama Tuhan buat semua yang kita miliki.

Don't be afraid to live in this imperfect live because we have perfect God that love us perfectly.

I'm really crazy about america's next top model! Beside the photo shoot, the catwalk, and the fashion world, there is something else that I learn from this reality show.

Many people think that a model should be thin, tall, white, and beautiful. And that thought were in my mind too. But, thank you so much to Tyra Banks that prove that thought is so totally wrong!

America's next top model accept transgender, lesbian, burn survivor, plus size, petite - and else that will never cross your mind.  Maybe when you see some finalists you will say "Has Tyra lost her mind?"

When you said "What a square face that I have" - Tyra called it cheek bone. When you said "I'm fat!"- Tyra called it sexy and curvy. America's next top model has expanded my eyes and my mind about the definition of beauty. Thankyou Tyra Banks, for remind me that I'm beautiful (because i'm surrounded by my beautiful friends so it's difficult to feel beautiful sometimes).

For all women out there :Remember, God create every women beautiful. Stop comparing ourself with others. You are beautiful,you are different, you are unique, you are special.

Show them that we care

Beberapa waktu yang lalu aku dan beberapa teman mengunjungi salah satu panti jompo di kota Bandung. Panti jompo tersebut dihuni 91 omah-omah dan opah-opah. Ada yang masih sehat bugar semangat mengikuti acara yang kami buat, tetapi ada beberapa yang sudah berbaring dan gak bisa apa-apa lagi. Beberapa ada yang sudah seperti hilang ingatan dan agak linglung. Beberapa ada yang seperti anak kecil lagi, bahkan ada yang tidur dengan boneka ^^

Aku merasa seneng banget bisa mengunjungi opah-opah dan omah-omah yang ada di sana. Aku yakin temen-temen aku yang lain juga pasti seneng. Mungkin opah-opah dan omah-omah yang ada di panti jompo merasa dibuang dan diabaikan oleh keluarga mereka. Beberapa dari mereka merasa sakit hati sama keluarga mereka sendiri, walaupun mungkin ada alasan tepat buat keluarga masing-masing buat menitipkan opah-opah dan omah-omah ini di panti jompo.

Di akhir acara, aku dan teman-teman membagikan bingkisan buat para opah dan omah. Bingkisan ini mungkin memang ga seberapa, tapi kami harap bingkisan dan kunjungan kami bisa menorehkan senyum di hati opah dan omah.

Waktu bagi-bagi bingkisan kami masuk ke kamar-kamar. Kamarnya bau pesing soalnya mereka memang buang air kecil dan besar di semacam kloset yang udah disedian di kamar masing-masing. Hati aku sedih banget ngeliat opah-opah dan omah-omah yang udah ga berdaya,cuma bisa terbaring di tempat tidur.

Kunjungan ke panti jompo ini sangat berkesan buat aku. Opah dan omah, masih ada orang-orang yang peduli sama kalian. Masih ada orang-orang yang sayang dan bersedia menampung serta merawat kalian. Semoga opah dan omah sekalian sehat-sehat terus ya. Lewati dan nikmati masa tua kalian dengan ucapan syukur dan tanpa penyesalan. Tuhan memberkati kalian semua.

Ayo teman-teman, jadilah generasi muda yang peduli sama sesama. Tunjukkan sama orang-orang yang kurang beruntung kalo kita peduli. Entah itu orang-orang miskin, anak-anak panti asuhan, korban bencana, dan lain-lain. Melihat ke atas memang perlu supaya kita termotivasi lebih baik, tetapi jangan lupa juga liat ke bawah. Masih banyak orang-orang yang kekurangan. Sudah sepatutnya kita membantu mereka.
